Phantom 4 Pro gimbal clamp for Neewer lens filters?

I purchased the 3 piece ND Neewer Lens Filter kit which has worked very well, but it obviously doesn't work with the stock gimbal clamp that comes with the P4P. The lens filters are the same diameter as the stock lens but they are several millimeters longer. I've read that a common mod is to cut the circular front guard off of the stock gimbal clamp but I'm concerned this will leave the lens vulnerable to becoming dusty or damaged. I haven't been able to find a product that solves this issue. Aside from buying PoloarPro does anyone have a solution?

The polar pro gimbal clamp may work for you. I got one to work with my polar pro filters as they are a little longer as well.
