I tried Pix4D for volume measurements. And it works great.
But I like to understand how many "measuring points" I get per square meter with a given GSD.

Lets say that the GSD is 4cm.

I think this is the answer:
100/4=25 (100cm/GSD=measuring points per meter)
25x25=625 (measuring points per meter x measuring points per meter = measuring points per m2)

With a GSD of 4 cm I would get 625 measuring points per m2 when I do a volume calculation. Anyone that can confirm? (or correct me)

More correctly, you are getting a certain pixel size/spacing, but your math is correct. A 4 cm pixel does result in 25x25 pixels per meter. as a point of reference, with my P3A flying at just under 400 ft (about 120 m) I get maps using Maps Made Easy with <5 cm pixels. Which is pretty good considering that the lidars I worked with while working for the Air Force struggled to get 15 cm at any type of range. Obviously, more pixels on target will allow finer detail in the shape of a volume and better estimations.
