I'm sure those ESCs buried in the arms rely heavily on the draft from the props to blow into the vents and keep them cool.

S socman Joined May 4, 2013 Messages 101 Reaction score 0 Dec 26, 2013 #3 i think during calibration they actually tell you to take them off. but i think that was more for safety incase the motors started up by accident. plus....i wouldnt want to start the motors if I couldnt fly it.....i mean....having the motors running but not able to take off would make me sad =(
