Hello

I've been looking at ways of increasing the flight time of the FC40. Obviously the easiest route is to buy a higher capacity internal battery, perhaps 2900mah and they weight about 200g.

However there are some external power packs that weigh less and and store a lot more power, for example:

On Amazon: Hiyadeal DC 12V 4800mAh Super Rechargeable Li-ion Battery Pack which weighs only 150g and is not that big at 3.9 x 2.4 x 0.6 inches.

So it seems this weighs less than the original 2200mah battery but has over twice the power. Therefore if you could mount it between the landing skids of the FC40 and plug in the cable you should get more than 20 minutes of flying time?

The only difference seems to be that the power pack produces 12v and the original battery is 11.1v, do you think this would make any difference?

Has anyone every tried this type of MOD?

I've read that attaching bigger batteries doesn't usually pay off because of the extra weight, but the power pack above is actually lighter than the original battery.
