Phantom 3 severe crash while performing auto take off

My first auto take off ended upside-down into bush ( and very close to next door window).
Never use this again, it seems too dangerous.
Manually take off works much better.

Nothing wrong with not using auto take take off but rather than avoiding it based on one mishap, perhaps you should try to figure out why it did something t wasn't supposed to do. I've used both manual and auto take off and landing randomly without issue and have almost always relied on out return till it's overhead and do a manual land. Just lazy I guess.

Your mod value was probably off. It happened to me but I was ready for it. I took it up high, shifted to atti mode and landed. What was your mod value on the compass prior to initiating take off. If you don't know it, then the compass calibration was off...even if it didn't give you an error.

Check mod value on the compass before every flight. 1400-1600. Mine usually sits around 1500
How do you ck?

do you calibrate the P3 before fly or you just wait untill the GPS ready? make sure the H = 0m before take off?
