Phantom 3 pro controller help!!

Hey guys I would greatly appreciate your help with my situation. So I was given a nicely taken care of phantom 3 pro. I took it out of the case charged everything up. I replaced the battery in my controller because it was swollen. I plugged it into my phone (iphone 16) via usb cale and no connection. I plugged it into my girlfriend’s phone (iPhone 14) via lightning cable and I received connection to the drone through the go app. I made the impatient and uninformed mistake of a firmware update through the app. I got disconnected from the drone and have not been able to get back into the camera feed or the app whatsoever it just says “how to connect”. When I turn the controller on it slowly flashes red then slowly flashes green once I power on the drone. I have control of the gimbal moving the camera up and down but that is it. I read the forum about rolling back firmware via sd card. I decided to try to just update the controller and drone from 1.8 to 1.9. I successfully updated the drone but the controller does not read the sd card via usb stick whatsoever. If anyone has any idea on how to hard reset or update the controller your advice would be greatly appreciated. I forgot to mention that I have relinked the drone and controller with c1 and c2 button trick.

Does anyone know where to find the firmware for the controller 1.3.2 it won’t take the firmware for the drone so maybe if I have the specific firmware for the remote it would take it then???

Sounds like a compatibility issue with your phone/controller

What steps should I take to overcome this? So I bought a new cable that supports video feed for my iPhone 16 and it is charging my phone but not connecting to the app. Still blinking green on the controller.

Welcome to the forum. Oh no, not a firmware problem.... Only hope you have is downgrading or resetting. To reset, I believe you
hold the C1 and C2 buttons on the remote controller simultaneously for several seconds. The remote controller will emit a series of beeps, indicating that the factory reset has been initiated.
It's important to note that a factory reset will erase all data and settings stored on the drone. If you have important data to preserve, consider backing it up before proceeding with the reset.

Thanks for the response. I’m afraid I’ve made it nowhere . I held the c1 and c2 buttons for quite some time but the controller never made a beep I read on that link you shared and it suggest using the app which is impossible in my situation. I think I’ve narrowed the problem down to not being able to update the controller to the same firmware as the drone (1.09……) it refuses to read the sd card with the same firmware I used to update the drone. I’m at a loss.

What a pity- sorry, but I don't know how much I can help further. If I have any new Ideas, I will post them here.

So when I connect my controller to my computer via usb cable how do I tell it’s connected? Silly question I know but my computer doesn’t notify of any connection. Maybe getting a new controller is where I’m at.

Iphones seem notoriously bad at working with the dji go app

I plugged it into my girlfriend’s phone (iPhone 14) via lightning cable and I received connection to the drone through the go app.

So at least we know the controller is working

Wow wish you had come here first, we always say NEVER update

On which device, my advice is to grab an old android device as they work better than IOS

There are several methods, i found this via google, for me it was the C1 C2 camera button and something else

DIdnt we cover that your iphone 16 didnt work yet the iphone 14 did ?

You cant update the controller via a PC only via the rear USB socket with an SD card with the firmware on, but as i said I wouldnt update anything, my last piece of advice is to take it to someone who can fault find with spare parts

Or maybe one of those sweet phantom 4 controllers with a screen already on the remote. I’ve tried giving my controller every thing Ik and I’m just stuck with it.

I’ve tried giving my controller every thing Ik and I’m just stuck with it.

Sometimes you just have to take it someone with a bit more knowledge and the tools to diagnose

I appreciate your time guys. I went ahead and ordered a gl300a. I might go ahead and send the gl300b to someone if I can find someone. I will let you guys know how it goes with the new controller hopefully well.

Got the new controller today and it works perfectly! All went well flew the drone for awhile and had a blast. I know it’s an old bird but man still a beast in the sky. Hopefully no one else has the same troubles as me but if someone out there does just know it’s worth the 100$ controller. Thanks to everyone for the feedback!
