Phantom 3 or little spyder custom?

Hi gang. As the title States I'm deciding to either purchase a phantom 3 pro or build a little spyder. I want to mainly video and not so much aerobatics. A friend of mine wants me to build a custom spyder but it will cost another 700 Canadian plus a gopro on top. He says the phantoms r junk in comparison. Thoughts and I pinions? Thanks

Trust me, you wont be disappointed with the P3. You would spend $1,200 on the FPV the P3 has.

The 4k camera is unmatched and the gimbal is great. To get the features of the P3 you would spend 2x as much on the spyder.

If you just want to fly and take videos/pictures, a Phantom is a good bet. If you want to build and tinker, a custom quad is the way to go. Either way is interesting, but you learn different things.
