phantom 3 no positioning atti

Had crash and had to replace camera mount and found i had one bad motor. I was able to test run the motors and everthing seemed to work. Now trying again to test motors and they wont start. I do have the gps disconnected but have the switch in center position. I get
phantom 3 no positioning atti. Motors wont start
What am i missing

Try connecting the GPS receiver and see if that makes a difference.

You could have a cooked FET in the inverter stage of the speed controller. Did you solder the motor fly leads directly to the main board pads? The cutting and splicing hack brings a lot of people unstuck. The individual wires are insulated and need to be carefully prepped (scrape of insulation or immerse ends in a molten solder bath).
