Hi Guys :)

I present my latest design 3D Printed 'Phantom 3 Gimbal Clamp with Lens Cap'

The most important difference is there are no any loads on vibration dampers. It increase damper life through stability. You don't need to use original plastic case.

You can attach your Propeller Wrench on it.

Good news for US Pilots! My design on sale in NJ,US:

Only thing I don't like about this design is that it appears that the camera can still rotate while the lock is in place. Watch at 1:16. Perhaps this is only because the lock is loose on the lens of the camera.

Now, there is no any movements. If I get tight, camera material can be stratch...

I like this idea. I wanted a way to lock the gimbal plates to prevent them from shifting/sagging, during travel when in a backpack and the bird is vertical.

How about a design, for people that already have a lens cap, that just stabilizes the two gimbal plates? ;)

I also made something similar to Milehighdesign in Ninja semi flex, very simple and easy only takes about 20 min to print...I feed Ninja Semiflex at 245C and works great...

Anyone have good STLs for things like these? I have my own printer, just not enough design skills. A couple of the ones I downloaded from Thingaverse weren't very good quality (one didn't even render as a complete object, despite the preview)

I have one that might slip over your lens cap and do a better job than the stock one. IView attachment 20810 View attachment 20811 know that's not saying much. here is the link to just the Gimbal Lock.

The one I received is super loose on the gimbal, doesn't even hold on, camera flops all over. The factory one is much better, it actually holds things in place. The lens cap I got is awesome though.

Did you use it with the lens cap inside the lock? It wold be loose with out the cap inside. I have test fit the lock to fit snug on the camera and gimbal top. Can you take a photo of where it's loose?
Thanks,
Nathan
