P4P price reduced, is the P5 coming?

I just saw that B&H reduced P4P price to $1,243. Does it mean P5 is coming soon?

The price of the P4P fluctuated quite a bit back in Sept / Oct when I was thinking of getting one. I saw a low of $1,299 at BH. But a day or so later, it would go back to $1,499. Same with Amazon. I didn't track it anymore after I purchased one.

There is a small chance p5 will be announced with the mavic 2 next month, but May or September is more realistic.

Check out this guy on Twitter. According to him, the P5 is not coming out any time soon. And he's been right for many of the recent product launches.

Could not be more satisfied with my purchase, 2 weeks after launch. It has been a great work horse.

Even with just a (improved) 1” sensor, better optics and perhaps this processor

will get us a much improved quality as compared to p4p

That would be very great but I suspect it wont be able to compete with X5S anyway, the gap is too great. Not even X5S w/ 422 or RAW is optimal. X7 is best but soo expensive..
