P4P: iPad 5 or 6 gen? WIFI or LTE?

Can you guys give me some suggestions which one I should buy for P4P? If I hotspot my iPhone's LTE to iPad, is it the same as using iPad LTE directly? If not, what is it missing? Is iPad 5 good enough? Should I buy iPad 6?

I really want to get flying soon as summer is coming. Thanks!

Buy the latest and greatest....with BOTH wifi and cellular capability. Much easier to verify location/airspace when you can get a good signal.

Only the LTE version has GPS. I have Apple iPad 6 Wi-Fi + Cellular /9.7"/ 128GB (2018). I hotspot my Android phone's LTE to iPad, because of the map that IOS can't save offline.
