What do you use the sd card in the p4p controller for?

For upgrading the RC firmware as the only way to upgrade via Dji Site doing download to the sd card and then to the controller Im talking about the p4p+

Papaburger, so the RC SD card does not store any video? Can't transfer videos from RC to SD card then computer?

I think the only function of the sd card no the RC is for upgrade
