I read an older post where people said that expert power batteries were reliable. Is that still the case in 2026 and are they still available?

Any other brands that people have been using recently that worked well?

Thanks!

I certainly understand that batteries are expensive! And we all need to look for ways to cut costs. My strong opinion is that- saving money on batteries is not the place to start.
High energy batteries are among the riskier things you have in your home. When these fail, it is often catastrophic. You cannot even extinguish the fire.
The best protection - only use brand name batteries that do not have damage or any other irregularities. This is the best insurance you can have. Not a bad idea to store them in strong metal containers.
My opinion, of course. But it is fact based. Also my strong suggestion if you’re looking for advice.

@WillieTheWelder,

I really don't know enough about P4 batteries, but I can think of some members that might.

Took a look at @msinger help web sight.
See if his links are still good. :)👌

As your duty being a new member, you are required to share what you find. It's in the details of the check box (i agree to the terms and conditions) :rolleyes::)👍👌

BTW, Welcome to the Forum! 👍

I agree with the sentiment that batteries are the worst place to try to save money. That said, I'm not even sure if OEM Phantom batteries are still available. I imagine they are. If you can find them, I would go with those.

P4 batteries are increasingly difficult to obtain, resulting in the necessity to purchase whichever options are currently available. While this does not imply that these batteries are suboptimal, it is important to consider whether any potential issues may outweigh the benefits. To mitigate risks, it is advisable to monitor battery performance regularly, charge batteries in well-ventilated areas, and utilize a lipo safety bag.
