P4A reporting wrong altitude and trouble holding altitude while flying

I just received a replacement P4A from dji and after take off the altitude is way off and sometimes just sticks at a number and stays there and when flying it loses and gains altitude ive calibrated everything and refreshed firm ware .
I don't remember my previous P4A doing this ,any one experiencing this .and or what is the fix.

Send it back. My replacement did that and crashed. They wouldn't honor the replacement they sent me. I did what they told me and it still wouldn't work.

Check the downward pointing censors. Make sure their not covered with plastic or blocked in any way.

it does appear to be a clear plastic cover on the small little censors on bottom and on the front

That would be a no no. Bigger planes have crashed. You cant cover those.

they are recessed in the body like a lens

Sometimes those come out of the box with protective plastic coverings that are very easy to peel off. Those little thing majigs measure air pressure so the drone knows its altitude.

It should be like a clear plastic tape cut to a circle.

im now thinking its because ive been practicing at a ball field thats all the same shade of winter yellow grass and flying at about 3-5 feet off the ground I think the vps is getting fooled
