I pay around 550usd with custom duty for SE, advanced and pro are definitely better but much more expensive.

That's not bad... Wondering if in the US cost the same.

Right now I really don't think I know what I'm doing. I'm going to search near Rocky Mount, NC to find a more experienced pilot to fly it with me.

I would suggest you to go on dji website and download manual for P3S because there no manual for SE in English and read it couple of times until you have understood everything. Also open dji go app click on the upper right corner menu and select tutorials, there you have bunch of the video tutorials for learning. And at the end you have flight simulator in there to practice. After all that leave the craft in beginner mode and find large open field without trees, buildings, poles, people etc and practice until you get feel for the craft.
