hey, I have a Phantom 3 Standard and I am making a DIY backpack with some foam. I noticed when putting the foam in the backpack, it created a little bit of static electricity.

Does anyone know if this little bit of static electricity will mess with the internals of the p3? has anyone made a DIY bag out of foam and had similar concerns?

Thanks

The only way the static electricity will affect the Phantom's electronics is if the arc directly contacts the mainboard which is basically impossible so you should not worry. Having static spark on the legs will not affect anything.

Aren't the motors wired to the main board ? If so, I would think static electrical contact with the motors could be bad. Just a thought
