P3 pro in wind

The Phantom manual recommends not flying in wind speeds exceeding 22 MPH.

Keep in mind that's what the Phantom is designed to handle. I don't personally like to fly in winds greater than 10 MPH since it's not as safe when taking off and landing.

I got stuck in only what I could estimate was a 35mph wind at about 500' yesterday when RTH. It literally wasn't moving forward. I kept it at full throttle and started descending. At about 450 feet, it started to move forward and at 400 it was coming back at 10mph. I continued to descend and got it to a max of 15mph, which got me back without an issue. Just goes to show how ground wind speed can be very deceptive.

I have flown my P3A with 24 mph wind speed. There were some drifting but it was controllable. I did not believe how well the P3A handled the wind speed.
