P3 Blue line ... what is it for?

When using the dji pilot I switched to full map instaed of picture.
I noticed I have another icon on the left side of the screen which allows me to draw (in freehand) a blue line on the screen.
What is it for?

It's just a drawing tool to plan your flights.

I read somewhere that it was a guide for defining your own no-fly zones - like a geofence, however I tried it myself and the aircraft just ploughs straight through it, so if anything, it's a visual cue only.

We are hoping that this function will be included in POI or waypoint plotting (GS) in a future update.... fingers crossed.
