Hi everyone. I am new to this as my title indicated. I am searching for a place to fly my drone. I don't really know how to fly it but is trying to learn. Does anyone know a legal place to fly my drone? I live in Kansas City and know that there is only certain place to do so. Any hints of where I can go and learn how to fly my drome?

Go to a wide open park and stand in the middle of it , learn what the controls do and don’t get cocky after a few flights , you’ll be fine

I would Google "drone regulations kansas city" and see what comes up. You may not even be able to fly legally inside the city. You don't need trouble on your first flight. But yes as said above, find a legal and wide open space to learn how to fly. And always start with a fully charged battery. Have fun!

Thanks. I went to a park but since the park was small and I am not really sure how to fly the drone, I passed on it because I didn't want to lose control and it hurt someone. Lol... I'll try again.

I recommend reading the online manual and becoming fully familiar with all the controls and functions. The drone is actually quite easy to fly (in PGPS mode). In that mode it will only move if you move a stick. It will hover (even in breezy conditions) using GPS to maintain its position if you are not touching any controls. Landing is the tricky part and be careful to land in a spot where nothing will contact the camera/gimbal assembly. It can overheat quickly if it's movement gets blocked.

Welcome to Phantom Pilots from Dayton Ohio! Install Airmap on your mobile device, it will show you areas you aren't allowed to fly in. Fly safe and have fun!
