New Phantom 4 backpack from DJI

Hi,

I just bought the new "Phantom Series - Multifunctional Backpack" which is listed as a Phantom 4 accessory.

However, reading the overview description doesn't say anything specific about the Phantom 4 so I'm wondering if it will carry a Phantom 3 as well. Anybody know? That would be a great bonus!

Seems the new backpack can also carry a 15" laptop.

P4 is the same size as the P3 so you will be fine.

But not the same shape, right? Wouldn't the styrofoam need to be different?

Area where the massive battery goes is definitely a different shape.

The original packing box of P4 appears to be very attractive (though not seen in reality), I was thinking to wrap it with fiber glass tapes and spray quick setting epoxy and smoothen it.

There is side by side photos posted on here somewhere. The arms are pretty much the same shape. May just need slight modification on battery area but it should for fine.

Thats the new backpack which will work with the phantom 4. Not sure if it also works with the phantom 3.

Don't know about the DJI backpack. But the case I have, I know I will have to modify the foam. Especially with the new gimbal lock. I'll have to remove the foam that goes between the gimbal and the legs.

I got mine on Monday. It is horrible. You have to see it to believe it. I'm returning it.

Buy the microraptor case/backpack combo. Great deal and fits the p4 like a glove. Absolutely love it.
