Anyone know if you can add new layers in the DjiGO app. Right now there is satellite, street etc....I would like to add my own georefrenced map. I should be able to do this in some fashion or maybe with another app???

Would you know if you could add shp. Files or kml. Files to the Google earth maps DJI GO is using.
You can add KML. Files to Google earth normally but I don't think I can within the app.

No, you cannot modify the maps in DJI GO. You could add those layers to Google Earth though after exporting the flight log and generating a KML file.
I guess but that adds alot of work and comparison with the imagey the drone collects that could be a alot more stream lined with an easy edit layer option that I guess DJI hasn't developed yet. Should be easy for them to add though I would think.

Arc map GIS meet drone.
Drones are used to collect lidar data. Why wouldn't one be able to the take that lidar data, map it in arc GIS then take that map and add it as layer in drone apps.
Maybe we aren't quite there yet though.
