If it doesnt fix the signal issue maybe consider using magic powers 5.0 mod on your phantom 3. I used it on mine and I have no issues with range for video.

I tried it.
Magic powers 5.0 done everything successfully, but my drone still lose's RC signal very short distance : (

I have the same problem but I never opened up my drone, it just looses signal very quickly even with a dbs iteleite range extender, any ideas?

Did it start having problems before or after you added the range extender?

Also may I note their are tons of videos on youtube showing you how to easily open up your drone and just watch what they disconnect and connect and make sure everything is exactly the same.
