Just bought the Manfrotto Pro Light Camera Backpack 3N1-35 PL to house my Phantom 3 Pro.

http://www.manfrotto.com/product/24329.8615.17668.0.0/MB+PL-3N1-35/_/Pro_Light_Camera_Backpack:_3N1-35_PL

It is similar to the DJI Phantom Backpack (made by Manfrotto) but without some pockets in the bottom compartment for batteries and a zip pocket in the top compartment for propeller.

However, the price of the Manfrotto backpack is about 40% or US$129 cheaper. I paid around US$200 in Singapore (similar price to US) as compared to US$329 for the DJI backpack (out of stock currently).

You can also use the Manfrotto backpack for your DSLR and lenses with the included padded dividers, which I believe do not come with the DJI backpack.

Here are some photos of the Manfrotto backpack:

Hi Jeff,

I also live in Singapore. Where did you buy the backpack because I am very interested in buying the same? And more curiously, how and when did you get your P3P because I ordered mine from DJI directly with extra battery on April 9 and still no news about the shipping date. The only feedback I got is sometimes around May 20...

Thanks!

Alex

Hi Alex,

I bought the above Manfrotto backpack from SLR Revolution at Funan #04-18. I think I bought the last piece, you can check with them (Tel: 6336-8767) when the new stock will come in.

I pre-ordered my P3P with extra battery from RP Innovations SG on 13 Apr and collected on 28 Apr (the extra battery will arrive later).

Thanks Jeff for your good advice. I have cancelled my P3P from DJI and just ordered it from RP Innovations. I shall it next week only since I am now abroad but Roy is holding one for me.
As for the backpack, you were right. They are out of stock and shall call back next week.
Maybe see you around one day flying our drones over the beautiful city of Singapore.
Cheers!
Alex

Hi Jeff, am from Singapore too.

Saw your post in another forum and ended up buying from Roy as well.

Looks like might follow your lead on the manfrotto bag as well.

Thanks,

Steven

Not keen on hard shell. Am looking for something I can carry for a hike.

On second thoughts, the manfrotto may be an overkill for my requirements and. I do see some china bags from aliexpress with precut foam for under US 100 and might explore that option.

Thanks !

Thanks Jeff. I have sent an inquiry to Roy about this backpack that I might be keen to buy.

Also, thanks for the invitation to join Universal Drones Singapore group that I have gladly accepted.

If anyone in the UK is interested in the Manfrotto then Kata made the original backpack which Manfrotto adopted and the Kata is available at a great price of £59 + free delivery at WEX http://www.wexphotographic.com/buy-kata-3n1-35-pl-sling-backpack/p1528637.

Due to the slightly increased size of the P3 it is a bit of a squeeze and to make it fit properly you need to remove some foam padding in the bottom compartment where the P3 sits. So I won't be using it, but it does work great for the P2 if anyone intends of keeping their P2.

Hi Jeff, I am interesting in this backpack but worry about too small or too squeeze when putting phantom3 in it, could you please provide more photo, thanks
