Now T H A T'S what it looks like when somebody who has built things before does it.
Slick and very nice. Just somehow has that aviation look. Maybe not stamped off by DCAS , but a double first cousin.

That looks great! I can't imagine what it weighs!? Is it awkward to hold up?

I just tested it out, the same flight I would get 2500 feet from I got 5000 feet before losing video still had full bars for radio control though. I should mention that this is from inside the living room at the window and there is trees and a cement block garage between me and the flightpath. Got directional antennas coming in the mail today be curious of what those do.

I tested the directional alpha antennas and only got about 700 feet farther than the Omni directional antennas, and you definitely had to point them in the right direction, very small tolerance. Oh and I found out the hard way the word alpha on the antenna faces the aircraft.

That looks really sturdy and a clean build from a professional. Excited to hear your results after your testing. Also about how much you think it cost you to build that setup?

Thanks. Fabricating the aluminum was a little bit of work but I still have my fingers.haha sitting inside the house I went from 2500 feet before to 5000 feet after, can't wait for to warm up so I can try it outside LOL I got just a little under $200 in the parts, most of it from Amazon and a little bit from RadioShack
