So, i decided to fly my P4 today and here is how it went down.
I cruised in to my local airport, a small one with only 2 runways.
I went inside and had a cup of coffee with a couple of old timers, one was a pilot and the other a mechanic.
I told them i came to fly. They asked if i had filed flight plans as noone was acheduled to fly today and I said no just going to test the bird out running the traffic pattern. So i finish my coffee and jump in my truck and head out to the runway, i jump out and set my bird P4 up dead center of the 0 on runway 09. I am almost ready to take off and some goofball hero in a cessna 152 heads to land on the runway i am taxi on ready to take off with my bird. The gomer almost hit my truck. He must have called the people inside on his radio as they all came out in a fluster telling me i cant fly there blah blah blah. We got into an argument and they said I couldnt fly there, i asked where am i supposed to fly then? They said anywhere but 5 miles away from there. Thats just mean. I know of a heliport over at the childrens hospital, gonna try there today. Some people are just idiots.
