For those that would like to more easily tell the difference in the command and control 5.8ghz transmitter antenna range. Test using CE mode as the lower output power will give you less range.
Switch to CE mode then see how far you get in different conditions with the stock 5.8ghz antenna. This will establish a base line and help you determine which alternate screw in antenna works the best over stock. So far I've yet to fly beyond transmitter range even at over 1,650 feet away, so testing in CE vs FCC will likely be the next step for me if I decide to swap the transmitter antenna with the screw in option. Even if not entirely needed unless you're using the 14dbi directional antenna's for FPV, it's nice having the extra piece of mind that you'll always be in control, so to speak
