I wish to introduce myself to the PhantomPilots community. While new to the community, Not new to Drones. I wanted to thank PhantomPilts.com for getting me through the newbie phase of my hobby. I wanted to let every benefit from my experiences as a nube. I made three grievous mistake in my early phases. I got away with each one. Not because of planning, not because of skill, but because I was lucky.
1) RTH not monitored before takeoff. RTH flight passes within 10 feet of top of building.
2) Put on Brakes too late, went straight into the branch of a palm tree.
3) Took off when rain was close, Piloted more than a mile away and started feeling rain on my head. Drone was over Atlantic ocean at the time.
I wish all drone flyers a safe and fun flying experience. Hoping to meet new friends and share experiences.
In readers opinions, How many people don't make it through the newbie phase with their drone undamaged? I think it's a fairly sizable percentage.
