Measure Tool in Map View

I think this would be a very useful function to have, to be able to measure distances within the Map View of DJI Go. If you are interested in flying to a certain location and are curious about how far it is and if it's possible to make it there it would be great to be able to measure. I've measured distances in Google Earth just to get an idea of landmark distances from my usual flying spot but would be great to be able to do that in the field.

Today i fly out 7300ft which around 2.2Km
I used google map to measure distance on exactly where i went and google showing 2.6KM
So im not sure which one to trust

I go to another site, " Wikimapia - Let's describe the whole world! " for measuring distance. I used to use it mostly for traffic accident investigation but if helped for criminal investigations as well.

I don't readily see the feature at the site on my iPad but when I use it on a computer, the icon for that feature is a yellow ruler near the upper left of the screen.
