Aha! I was in Hvar in 2013. Nice place!
Haha, cool. If you ever come again we might even meet. I grew up on Hvar and later when I started going to the university I moved to mainland(Split city). Still go to Hvar on weekends/holidays to visit my parents. You should be able to recognize some of the scenery from my sample photos for sure.

very nice & well done, don't forgot about use non-vision Phantoms ;)
I will not. But unfortunately, if I understood right, the basic Phantom 2 does not have a WiFi module through which the current apps using the SDK communicate with the Phantom. Is it possible to connect a WiFi module to Phantom 2 non-vision? practically transforming it to a vision model?

The vision series(both non plus and plus models) are the only units with a wifi setup

Not saying that one of the non vision models can't be converted to a vision model

Will your app be for Android or iOS?
Initially iOS. Android is also planned however. I'm trying to get my friend on board so that we could develop in parallel(he would work on the Android version), which might speed things up regarding the Android version.

Best news I've heard in a while! Glad to have you working on improving the Phantom experience, Ivan.

Can't wait to try it out(I don't mind being a beta tester)

Noted! And thanks for the support! It would be handy to have few beta testers. When the app is ready for testing I'll send you a PM! But I will probably also create another post to announce beta invites. :geek:

I don't have SDK access yet, but you should be able to control Phantom 2 and other DJI copters through the Ground Station.

Congrats Ivan! now please drop the iPhone lol. Android is where it's at.

iPhone rules and you know it
Besides if it wasn't for apple android wouldn't be here
competition is good :)
Typing this on my iPhone 6 plus 128gb

Android is an operating system, having nothing to do with Apple. It was technically available as an OS long before iOS. Now if you want to say "if it wasn't for Apple, Android on a touchscreen device wouldn't have been here so soon", then I would agree. But yes, competition is good.

WELCOME IVAN!

Thats a great DJI story, we need more of them.... however I'm surprised that your response was "Holy Macaroni" when DJI was calling you....I would have been saying " Nemoj me jebat"!!! LOL :D
Very curious to hear more about this app you mentioned? I'm going to PM you with more about that, but I wanted to say welcome!!!

Hey Ivan, Welcome to Forum.
Right here is a Beta Tester when you have the App ready to fly :ugeek:

I'm in IT world too (computing engineer).
Maybe we could cross info around projects. I've been working with some Hardware and Software tricks and gadgets for sending iPhone / iPad to external devices (Big screen TVs, FPV Goggles, Laptops etc.) Also Streaming Video feed via WiFi devices and SDK new Vision Apps.

Some information about, can be found with these products that I've been working with:
