Maximum flight distance

Ah yes ok there is such a setting - but i believe OP wants to fly further than the 500m, and so simply needs to switch off the distance limiter....surely?!

Which only applies if in beginner mode.

Beginner mode is a completely different setting. When Beginner mode is enabled, the Phantom cannot fly further than 30m.

Your horizontal distance can be whatever you want. Vertical distance is 500m max.

Is it possible to set the maximum flight distance past 500 meters in the DJI Go app

I'm not sure what version this app is, but in the latest version, one is can enable or disable maximum distance.

I realize that. My point is the difference in app versions. I suppose I should have provided a screenshot as well.

Got it. The functionality is exactly the same. All DJI did was rename "Maximum distance" to "Enable Max Distance".
