According to my sources it is not yet certain that it is a 'Mavic Mini'. There is also talk of a 'Spark 2' version. We will probably know more on 13 August (unless that is another introduction to such a silly toy).

Yes, it is an actual DJI product. The name will be "Mavic Mini".

The size and shape is almost the same as MavicAir. Props are more like Mavic.
Don't know where DJI could put this one into their product line.

All put together it looks like a parrot bebop drone. I do think they would sell a lot more if they came in different colors. Whatever color that is: tan/gray/white, it looks pretty boring.
