Mapbox issue phantom 4 pro + remote controller

P4P+ blank Mapbox issue 13th september 2024:

Hi, I have a problem with my phantom 4 pro+ remote, the mapbox is not working I've tried so many things to fix it but still facing the same issue now.

Original setup:
RC firmware v1.3.6.0

-I've tried to install the latest remote firmware for the controller from the DJI website with SD card locally but this led to the DJI GO 4 app crashing and not opening after the reboot.
-I've tried to install via APK version with also sd card the DJI GO 4 v4.3.14
-I've tried to install via SD card the RC firmware version V1.4.1.0
-I've also tried so many combinations of the 2 steps above to fix it but it is not working too
-I've also tried multiple times "factory data reset" and applying the steps above

Nothing of this has worked, there is absolutely no help on the internet or anywhere on the website for my case.

I cannot understand how a 2000€ drone cannot face this issue and that no help is provided anywhere.

I'm asking for help please if anyone has the solution!

After all that, is the remote usable now but still missing mapbox? a bit confused where you ended up in that process. Pull down screen, turn on wifi, make sure you're signed in to your DJI acct (when wifi available) tap mapbox, turn on location to enable gps, when wifi available maps will load. Enter an address if asked

Having the same issue where Firmware is updated and the App itself updated to ver 4.2.6 , Drone fly , Yet I cannot get maps on mapbox to load or even show on my location just black , Even tried from verious forums to run the DJI-v4.3.14_190309-8-35864_dpad_sec p4proplus.apk to see if it fixes the issue nothing , DJi Support is helpless in this issue also

Well then I'm boned as I have two of those controllers with no map. Thx for posting. I am going to tear one down and see if the board can be wiped or hard reset or something.

Sounds like your controller works fine. And as your confused about how this can happen may I tell you my story. I bought two controllers from a gentleman on this forum. I was asked to delete map data as it was still attached to his account. When I logged out of his account the drone still had a gps lock on British Columbia and showed his location on map. I turned off drone and when it came back on the map was blank. The second controller was reset by the new owner but did not have a problem with map until he had used it several times with no issue. Other peoples issues may be different I don't know. But life happens. Calculating signals between Bc and Ontario too much for it? High energy protons?
