Lost connection, crash, lost drone.

So, they are estimating another month before anyone goes up.

I am contemplating picking up a cheapo drone, just to hook it and pull it back off.... don't care if they both come down... I've seen decent sized drones on Facebook marketplace, seem like they would be good enough to get the job done.

Any recommendations?

Why not hire a local company that owns a Matrice 600?

Down here it would cost about the same as a drone capable of being stable enough for you to hook and move your phantom away from the tower. In the $250-300 range.

So, I thought about getting the upair. I found one for 150. I feel like it's probably big enough to hook it.

I would probably wont to run attitude mode. I dont know how close you could hover over that tower before the drone would malfunction.

I did find a phantom 3 for 300. That seems like a decent price for a back up.

Have you checked the P4 weight, and what kind of payloads the P3 can handle?

Bummer I have first Mavic and Mavic2pro but my phantom 4pro is my favorite hope you find it, I always double check everything in very closely, on my second frame never had any crashes, phantom has cheap plastic but camera is better than both Mavics good luck

My guess would have to be that things did not go according to plan. If it had been recovered then I suspect that we would have heard, but the OP has not been on the forum since April 18.

Update. I called Verizon directly, they were cool, called me when a team went up.

Already got the replacement from DJI.
