is that editing software free to use, and can you use copyrighted music from iTunes with vids?/

Youtube is not going to let you use copyrighted music unless you have permission from whoever .

I've used and owned almost every version of Pinnacle for over 10 years. Each new version corrects issues with previous versions and includes new ones. Often times glitchy but still very user friendly and good product for the money. Corel Video Studio is more reliable but slightly less featured and still affordable. YouTube offers royalty free music that is easily downloaded from here ...

If you are intending to be serious about editing and/or colour grading, you’d be silly to overlook DaVinci Resolve. Free version does 99% of what you might need and the full paid version is inexpensive . Extremely powerful with a steep learning curve but there’s tons of resources on YouTube to get you going.

I use Vegas Pro (formerly Sony Vegas Pro). I love it. Easy to use, easy to add audio, lots of included patches. Great program.

I use power director 17. Very good editing and reasonable priced.
