Looking for a tutorial for auxiliary power

Greetings,

I came from a P1 where I completely modded it with all sorts of goodies. With my P2V, I am looking for access to aux power to run a LED strip (who knows what else in the future). I am completely fine with cutting/soldering, I just would prefer some pics prior to opening it up.

If you have soldered an aux lead, could you please provide a pic or two?
If you chose to use a small, lightweight battery, which did you go with?

I know someone has fitted an LED headlight - but they just soldered to the main power leads from the battery to the main board. You might find a more elegant mounting point. Let us know if you do.
