The restricted zone is about 1/2 mile from my house!!!! Yikes. I am very cautious when it comes to flying by my house.......Usually during clear weather the flight path is not over the house but it depends on wind direction. If the heavy's are near me, I don't fly at all.
I have flown at Jones Beach and at the Fire Island Lighthouse ( this was right before the NPS declared National Parks a no fly zone)

But I find that if you are a customer and buying drinks, they dont give a **** lol

I am planning to go to the Captree state park docks on Sunday June 1- Sunrise (5:25 AM arrive around 5:00 AM) to get the fishing boats as they leave ., I may venture over by the Robert Moses bridge as well. PM me for details and phone number
most people are asleep at 5am weekends... but the fish boat shot sounds cool.. i would be down for some 5-8pm flying if yiou ever want to meet up
I plan on doing some flying at Connetquot state park in Oakdale on Saturday 6/7/14 . I am an early morning person ( if you haven't gathered that by now

There are a lot of areas to film here, but there is also a lot of hiking involved, so keep that in mind.

Hey let me know what time your going down there. Sounds like fun! We are suppose to have great weather with almost no wind!
