Litchi waypoint curve

There seems to have been some discussion that Litchi does not allow changing speed at waypoints. I'm not sure if that was a previous version of Litchi. I am able to successfully change speeds at waypoints. But it seems to depend on how far away the curve is from the point. The farther the curve is from the Waypoint, the less likely that the bird will follow the command. Is that what other people's observations are?

I haven't had problem with any of my missions with respect to speed between waypoints and curves. The little voice tells me the mission is doing fine with respect to distance and speed. I downloaded the latest upgrade to Litchi this morning and will have a play later today to see what changes there are, if any.
