When the mission starts it will ignore any input from you, all you can do is pause or cancel the mission, this is why it’s very important to plan the mission accurately

Als already mentioned the mission will continue, no matter whether you have signal contact or not.

The only way to know for sure is to plan a short, close waypoint mission, then try it while it’s flying the mission. I have changed the camera pitch manually while flying a mission. The only problem is that once I let go of the control wheel (for pitch), it reverts back to whatever was programmed pitch was.
