Im sure there are a ton of threads on this but I'm sure I didn't search the right tags. My prob is..i had a very successful mission flight today. As my first one ended up in a crash. Sooooo...ive looked around..youtube..google..i figured I'd ask here. When I got to waypoint 5 or so my poi kicked in and focused but my quad kept doing clockwise 360's. It did like 3 360's and kept right on flight till mission end. All went great except for my poi setting. The [EXPLETIVE REMOVED] quad wouldn't sit still...it went around and around etc....what am I missing with these poi missions? How do you keep it focused on the poi and stop doing circles? Thanks in advance...

You need to clarify a bit what you mean by "360's". Would that be similar to panarama's, or are you saying that the bird continued doing 360 degree revolutions throughout the flight. It would also depend on your global settings. Straight lines, curves, etc.... I use Litchi exclusively and have never seen anything as you describe. Unless of coarse you were attempting an orbit mission. That would be different.

Yes..as soon as I hit my 5th waypoint it started continuously going in circles. Until the last waypoint. I'm not too sure about the curve settings when it comes to poi. I'm new to the litchi app. I think I may have had the poi settings wrong. It was set to focus poi but not too sure what went wrong...thanks

Hi, Still not clear on what it was doing, do you mean 'rotating' like a top, so the direction the camera faced was changing 360 deg whilst flying on a course, if so how fast and was this rotation constant (speed and duration?) or was something else happening. I too have never experienced this with Litchi..

Sorry guys..i tried uploading and sharing some mission and video stats here but I'm getting errors. The only thing I can really say is my mission consisted of 8 waypoints. And i had 5, 6. and 7 focused on a poi. When the poi kicked in, it focused, rotated 360 degrees, focused on poi, rotated 360 degrees and did this one more time then finished the mission. I'm sure it's something simple. When setting the poi what settings should it be on to make the poi stay in frame rather than rotate? I think I just had the settings wrong. Thanks again for the responses...

So here's a quick video. You'll notice around 3:10 it focuses on p.o.i. and the starts to turn clockwise 3 full rotations. Then it finishes the mission. Each time it comes around it focuses on p.o.i. the spins again. Not too sure what I did with the settings.

Try to take a screen shot of your General Mission settings, and a screenshot of one of the the waypoint settings that resulted in the 360 degree rotation. Looks like a Panorama to me instead of a POI Focus. Post the screen shots back here for a look see...

Yea that's where I messed up. The only clue I have is this video. I accidentally deleted the mission afterwards and was gonna attempt another one till it started raining. My bad...next time I'll know better. Thanks for the feedback and I'll try another waypoint mission along the same path and see if anything changes...thanks again..

Here's another quick question..when setting up the individual waypoints..what does "curve size" mean? Should that be at 0 or does it auto set according to alt??

Ok so I think I figured it out. I had 2 separate waypoints with 2 separate headings. Instead if the ac staying in a constant straight line it rotated clockwise from waypoint to waypoint because I had the headings set differently...wow..the things you learn.

When using curves, assuming you have the mission set to curved paths, the bird will not stop at a waypoint. If you want the bird to stop at a waypoint for POI, in your case, make sure you are set for straight lines and adjust your settings accordingly. You can ignore the individual curve settings in that instance.

Yea thats well said. I prefer the straight line method. I had a few settings messed up. Thanks again. I'll try another mission with p.o.i's and check back when the weather clears up.
