Good evening I was just wondering if anyone has tried litchi And gear vr and was it a good experience. Thinking of getting the litchi app for iOS.

Incompatible. There is no way to connect the USB cable from the RC to the phone with the Gear VR stock. You can use it, but you have to dremel one of the clamps that holds the phone in to make a hole for the usb plug. While there is a USB-C receptacle on the Gear VR, it doesn't pass through data -- only charges the phone.
Not worth it just for flying FPV. There are much cheaper solutions that do exactly the same thing, and don't interfere with the USB cable to the phone. Google the topic, and you'll find plenty of threads with recommendations.
