Yes the temperature of the CCD itself. I have seen lots of night time videos recorded with a Vision+. They do tend to look grainy and less clear than shooting in daylight, but I have never seen one where the image was speckled all over with white pixels like your's. That's why I thought it may have been a very hot evening. Are those light pixels in your original video too? It is common for CCD & LCD screens to have a certain percentage of dark or light pixels. I have noticed that my camera has a couple of light pixels that are always white (they don't show up in the processed YouTube videos). If your camera has these persistent light or dark pixels, they will always be there in your images, though they are usually not noticed when looking at the overall video (unless it contains a lot of black or pure white area). Your pixels, however, are different. They fade when exposed to light and return when the area becomes dark again. In daylight you wouldn't even notice.
Try taping an opaque black cover of some sort over your lens and records a few minutes of blackness. I'd be interested to see if those spots are there?
