Kit for Phantom2 + GoPro on Zenmuse H3-3D

Hello everyone,

I'm new to this forum (and sthis stuff). I tried to find the information I need, but failed, maybe I want too detailed info. Dunno, let's see.
I want to upgrade my fly-filming and get FPV.

What I know I need so far:
1. Predator V2 kit

The rest is... all foggy to me. I wrote to getfpv andreadymaderc and they all seem to differ in their advice.

2. GetFPV tells me I need two cables:

3. I also need a charger for the googles battery, but what should I buy? Don't really want anything expensive
4. So, apparently, powering up the transmitter is a thing. Either tap into Phantom's wires and do some soldering or buy ANOTHER battery (and a charger? T_T ) What is the better option.

To sum it all up. I'm a newbie with some internet reaserach, who wants to buy ALL that is necessary to get FPVing. And not have surprizes like "oooooh, I need that too, I can't fly without that..."

The important question for how to connect everything on the Phantom is whether or not you're going to have an iOSD mini included as well. It's highly recommended as it will display flight data (battery level, GPS sats, distance, etc) on your goggles with the camera's image.

If you do include an iOSD mini, then all you need to connect all the airborne FPV gear is this cable: http://www.amazon.com/dp/B00LDX65OS/ref ... W0OH443OJY

Now with that being said, the reason getfpv.com suggested their option(s) is because the H3-3D is known to introduce audio and/or video interference through the little USB plug for the gopro. The connectors and cabling they linked you bypass that connector, as well as all of the Phantom's internal FPV wiring...and as a result (like you noticed) you would have to tap power elsewhere for the FPV transmitter. And wiring an iOSD in gets more complicated too. But...there's at least one other workaround for that problem with the gimbal, that doesn't involve any new parts or reconfiguring all that.

The cable readymaderc suggested was the right one to use back when the P1 was new and people were bolting the gopro to the airframe w/no gimbal. That changed when DJI started feeding power and video through their gimbals and the Phantom's mainboard.

Thanks, that cable seems to be a great solution. I thought about iOSD too, so now it's "a must" That cable also powers up the transmitter? From the Phantom?
I guess the better antennas will be a great addition too. The linked ones are the right ones? I mean, there a re several types of connectors. RHCP?
And what about the charger? For the googles?

Yep, the FPV output bus on the Phantom (where the cable I linked you plugs in) feeds power and video out to your gear (iOSD mini and Tx).

Antenna options:

-Meh: stock antenna ("rubber ducks")
-Good: Immersion Spironets (the ones you linked)
-Better: BlueBeam Ultra's
-Best: Pinwheels from FPVLR or Horizon
-Best+ and possibly overkill: Patch or spiral from one of the above

I'm not familiar with the battery in the goggles, but I'm pretty sure getfpv.com and readymaderc.com both sell chargers just for those.

You'll want the longer set for better placement on a Phantom, that's the same pair I have.

Those should give you good performance out to at least several hundred meters when you have unobstructed line-of-sight. However, 5.8GHz broadcasts are particularly sensitive to anything getting between the Tx and Rx, so even just rotating the Phantom and putting one of its legs in the way can disrupt the signal.

1. Predator V2 kit
2. IBCrazy 5.8 GHz Bluebeam Ultra Antenna Set
3. iOSD mini
4. Plug and Play Cable: DJI Phantom 2 to iOSD Mini and Fat Shark/ImmersionRC Transmitter
5. charger for the googles battery
Just suming that up if anyone comes asking same question Thanks for help, will try to assemble it in about 1-2 weeks. I wil share my experience then

EDIT:
After a successful landing on a tree top, I decided to switch to a monitor, don't want to use googles anymore
Any suggestions on how I can alter my setup? Don't really know what kind of monitor I need.
