I have read about several Phantom "drop out of the sky" disasters which have resulted from inadvertent CSC generated shutting down of all motors.

If the Phantom is at high enough altitude, is it possible to recover during the rapid drop?

How would one restart the engines and what would result?

Thanks

Larry

if you are high enough and your fast enough its possible.

do another CSC to restart and then pray!

good luck and have fun flying!

I'm afraid the most are still picking up the pieces and trying to figure what went wrong. Not a good feeling.

Yes, if high enough, another csc then full throttle COULD save you.

What is high enough?

I did the math for a guy once who was at IIRC, 300ft: nope, not possible. It is on this site somewhere.....

It is simple V=.5at^2 math. I think when one does it they will find you will have to be above about 700 feet to recover.

Fly that high often? If not, then the simple answer is: NO, not possible to recover. :)

Time wise, no, not enough altitude. Sorry!
