iPhone 4 won't connect to Drone

so i power both controller and drone on. than i plug my phone in. it charges for 2 seconds than stops. i go back to equipment and nothing is there?
what do i do /

Your title is a tad misleading then You say iPhone 4 wont connect... ha ha

Migt sound like silly questions, but they have to be asked...

Are you opening the DJI Go app on your phone?
Is your phone plugged into the Controller?

Open the app first then turn on remote, then turn on copter.

I would delete the DJI Go app and re-install it and see if that helps.
