iPad/iPhone has slow video playback

Why is it after I transfer my video from the SD card to my iPad or phone that the playback lags?

It would be nice to know which models of iPad, iPhone and drone you have. You haven't given us enough info to help you.
 
P3standard. iPad 2 iPhone 6 Plus. Seems fine now but initially the playback takes forever.
