Imagine dumpster diving at DJI...!!!!!

Surely somebody does it...
And has a tremendous collection of usable parts...

by the way, its illegal, right?

From what little I understand, dumpster diving is illegal on private property but it's up to the owner or other responsible authority to make an issue of it. If the dumpster or other trash receptacle is on public property i.e. curbside, bon appetit.

Most big corporations recycle and reuse materials. I would guess DJI does the same. Plastic pieces are probably shredded and reused and electronics destroyed and recycled.

And then there's all the licensed local sellers!!!
This comes up after watching Youtube musician
dumpster diver rescuing damaged new guitars &
new drum kits DAILY from chain store dumpsters...
for the NEW parts,
e.g. necks, strings, tuning pegs, guards, etc.
No, one will almost certainly NOT find new
camera-gimbal attached to smashed new body, but...

Casey Neistats' garbage men must have a nice collection of toys, just because he takes such good care of them!
