There's no real need to focus.
The drone's autofocus function works very well.

like Meta says they focus great all on their own but if you want to make sure it’s in focus try holding your finger on screen until you see a magnafied image and you hear a beep and then you can see the drone focusing on subject until it’s clear. Hope this helps.

Thanks. When I do that, I just get the blue circle.

Do you have a P4 standard. You should be able to set focus mode to auto¡/manuel. Try that setting and see if you can do that.focusing with you finger.
