how do I activate the camera view on my tab screen before flight and/or doing any photography?

newbie to drones - just got a P3Pro and have drone and controller set up. Turning to the camera, I've checked out the various menu items but can't seem to find any way to turn the camera on while everything is still on the ground, and would like to put camera and gimbal through their paces before flying and be able to see where I'm going even if not photographing anything...there must be a way!

The camera is "on" as soon as you turn the drone on.

You can start recording by pressing the record button the screen in the DJI Go app.

Are you not seeing the camera preview in your app?

When you connect your mobile device to the remote with the USB cable, you should see (in the DJI Go app) what the camera is seeing.

Are you not seeing this? What does the top bar in the app say? Is the Phantom connected?
