Help: Downgrade Phantom 3s RC

I have Phantom 3S running firmware 1.5.7. The version of dji go is 3.1.8. The system works fine.
Recently, I get an used Phantom 3s RC. I try to link up the RC with my AC. After linking up, the LED of the RC turn green. Then screen of dji go can show the video from Phantom 3s. But I cannot control the AC with RC. The dji go show that "Lost radio signal" at the top of the scree. I think that the version of RC is not compatible with my AC 1.5.7.
How can I downgrade the firmware of RC only?
I need helping hand. Thanks in advanced!

The standard is an "all-in-one" firmware package. I don't think this is possible.

Do you know for certain the used RC was working when you bought it? These things do break or are damaged by botched attempts to modify.

First of all, thanks for the response of LarBear360.
Actually, I have searched in this forum and find that there are user same as me. After breaking the original RC, he get second-hand RC. He only get video but can't control AC. Sad to say, no one can help him to update the system.
Is there any way to flash the firmware of P3S with 1.5.7 again?

I have a second back-up controller I purchased to use with the Itelite DBS extender. Works fine.

I did save this video during the planning stages. Never tried it so I don't know.
