Help! Can the upgrade range extender be turned off!?

I was going thru the settings in the dji app and clicked the range extender where it allows cellular data network while connecting to your phantom. What is the benefit of this option even and is there a way to "undo" it?

Hello,
The upgrade range extender, allows you to access internet WHILE connected to phantom, mainly used in ground station situations, this way you an access google maps while you fly, to set waypoints and such! I'm not sure if it can/can't be reversed? But you can always turn off your phone data on your phone and only use wifi to not run up your bill, I believe it only works with IOS FORMAT ( Apple stuff ) I don't think it works for android? Hope this helps!

Right. I'm having no problems running it. I am using an iphone too tho. Tried the turn off cellular data trick. But when went back Into the camera app. It kept saying connection broken.

Just flying and having live stream linked to phone rack up on your data as well or no?
